David Watkins, a corporate partner at Slaughter and May, the UK law firm, has begun his two-year secondment as secretary to the UK's Panel on Takeovers and Mergers. He replaces Selina Sagayam who returns to Simmons & Simmons.

It is the first time a Slaughter and May partner has been seconded to the Panel, which regulates UK mergers and acquisitions activity.
