Consultancy firm Watson Wyatt has hired Brendan O'Neill, former chief executive of chemicals group ICI, to its board of directors.

O'Neill headed ICI for four years between 1999 and 2003, and before that held a number of positions at Guinness, the brewers. He has also worked for HSBC.
