Watson Wyatt Worldwide, the investment consultant, has appointed Simon Desrochers from Barclays Global Investors to head its benefits consulting team in France.

At BGI, Desrochers was responsible for establishing the firm's business in France. He has also worked at Towers Perrin, including a five-year stint as practice leader of its benefits team in Paris.
