Watson Wyatt raises alarm over limits to industry expansion

All managers will struggle as capacity grows

The hedge fund industry will run out of capacity within two years if expansion continues at its current pace, according to Watson Wyatt, the investment consultant.

Chris Mansi, senior investment consultant responsible for hedge funds at the firm, said: "There will continue to be hedge fund managers who are fantastically skilled and who will make money, but it will become increasingly difficult for any given investor to invest with them."
