Mid-market investment bank William Blair has hired five senior dealmakers to its European business, adding more firepower to its operation in the region that has swelled by 45% over the past year.

The investment bank, which specialises in smaller deals, has named Eric Sanschagrin as a managing director and Daniel Fiegenschuh as a director covering technology companies, it said in a statement. They have both joined from professional services firm EY.
