Bischoff appointed to chair FRC

The outgoing chairman of Lloyds Banking Group has in the past spoken in favour of accounting reforms

Outgoing Lloyds Banking Group chairman Sir Win Bischoff, who has spoken in favour of accounting reform, has been named the new chair of the Financial Reporting Council, the body charged with promoting confidence in corporate reporting and governance.

The council has also appointed Gay Huey Evans as deputy, according to a statement today from Business Secretary Vince Cable.
