Winton chases pensions billions with new fund

UK's defined contribution pension funds are growing rapidly but tend to favour passive investing at present

David Harding's Winton Group is bidding to take quantitative futures investing to the man on the street, with a new fund aimed at the UK's rapidly-growing defined contribution pension plans.

The defined contribution pension market is expected to roughly triple in size to £1tn by 2025, according to consultants Spence Johnson.
