Winton says co-founder Hunt will succeed Sir David Walker as chair

Winton Group, one of the world’s largest hedge fund firms, will appoint co-founder Martin Hunt as chair later this year, taking over from City veteran Sir David Walker.

Hunt, who will start his role in July, set up the hedge fund with chief executive David Harding in 1997. Announcing the change on April 24, Winton cited his insider knowledge of the “challenges and opportunities” faced by the company.
