Female billionaires have increased in number by almost 50% in the past five years, driven by growth in Asia

The number of female billionaires in the world has increased by almost half over the past five years, outpacing the growth rate of their male counterparts, according to the latest analysis from UBS and PwC.

According to The Billionaire Effect, a report from the Swiss bank and the Big Four auditor published on November 7, the number of women with a net worth of 10 figures or more rose from 160 to 233 between 2013 and 2018.
