More women in the City are choosing to freeze their eggs and delay pregnancy due to growing concerns among female workers that having a child will stunt their careers.

Analysis by Financial News shows that fertility clinics in the Square Mile have recorded a spike in women spending thousands of pounds on procedures to extract their eggs, while some companies, including BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, are — for the first time — offering to pay for treatment.
