The Financial Conduct Authority said it could fine Link Fund Solutions £306m for failing to properly manage liquidity in the now defunct flagship fund overseen by Neil Woodford.

It is the first time the UK regulator has hinted that it may impose a financial penalty on Link for its oversight of Woodford’s failed fund, which left more than 300,000 retail investors trapped when it was suspended in June 2019.
