Woodford suffers S&P cut on funds

Veteran UK equity manager Neil Woodford has suffered a cut in the Standard & Poor's rating for his Perpetual Income and High Income funds from AAA to AA.

Woodford 's performance over the past three years has been volatile. His Income fund only managed to secure relatively modest outperformance over the year to October, despite recent improvement in the wake of underperformance in the 1999 technology boom.
