Bring up the subject of working hours and many in the City will start yawning – not because of the long days they spend at their desks, but because they’re bored with the debate or are yet to spot any substantial change.
For all of banks' efforts to address work-life balance, only 5% of City workers surveyed by FN believe that the industry is doing enough to combat the issue of excessive working hours. The rest argue that either too little has been done (51%) or that it's a pointless debate altogether (44%).
