The bank has had a busy year-to-date in the real estate sector, notably advising Comcast, the US entertainment giant, on its completed deal for the remaining 49% of NBCUniversal Media from General Electric. The deal includes a property portfolio located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York and Englewood Cliffs in New Jersey. The bank is currently advising CommonWealth Reit on its 93.09% stake sale, worth $7bn, to Corvex Management and Related Fund Management, alongside other projects.

Global activity remains robust in the real estate sector, with the industry ranking as the one of the most profitable for M&A advisers in 2013, according to Dealogic data for the year to June 7.
