The London Stock Exchange Group has poached a senior executive from US rival S&P Global as the bourse owner doubles up leadership of its key data and analytics business.

LSEG has appointed S&P’s Gianluca Biagini and its own executive Ron Lefferts as co-heads of data and analytics, reporting to chief executive David Schwimmer, the firm said in a statement.
